Annemarie would be thinking about Ellen and if she would be safe or not. She would also remember the feeling of her encounter because whenever I have had a moment of fright, I always remembered it from that day on. Next, she would most likely try to think of happy memories, but she probably failed. Finally, I think that Annemarie will have that scary moment stuck in her mind for a while.
    That's what I thought.

I think Annemarie would be thinking about Ellen and if she was safe. If i was in that situation, I would probably do the same thing. Also, she might try to calm herself down and not panic. Lastly, Annemarie might have that terrifying moment stuck in her head forever.

I agree with Francine.I think she would be worried about her friend Ellen. But I do think she would try to be brave. She might even think about the fairy tales and how there is a happy ending but she might even think just happy thoughts instead like what Cassidy said.I might just be scared, but I wouldn't show it.

I agree with geoffrey and francine because she would be worring about her friend ellen.she will aff course try to be brave. I like geoffreys example about the fairy tale and i think that is what is going to happen at the end.I would be scared but would try to show that i was brave.

I think Annamarie is worried about her friend and if that type of encounter will ever happen again. She is probably thinking about if Ellen will be safe at her uncle's house. I think she will try to just worry about what is happening now and not what could happen later. But for now I think she is trying to have a fun time at her uncle's house.

I think Annemarie is thinking that she and Ellen will be safe at her uncles (p55). They will be away from the Nazis and their home. The encounter with the Nazis on the train probably made her feel frightened and vulnerable. However, she felt like everything is going to be okay by stating that she was going to see her uncle.

I agree with Cassidy .If Ellen were my friend I would be so scared. It would be hard to forget the moment when they were searching for Jews and they came into their apartment. That would always be in my head.

I think she is thinking that her mama and papa know that they will be safe at their Uncle Henriks.(pg. 55) Also she is thinking will the Jews figure out that Ellen is really jewish. All that she cares about is her friend and her families safety. Right now she is trying to get that the Germans are taking over off her mind, and trying to enjoy a good time by the beach with her friend Ellen. Also she is trying to stand up for her self at the time from the Germans so that she won't get captured by them

I think that she is very worried for the Rosens and expecally Ellen. This so because they are hiding her and the punishment might be greater because of that. I also think that Annmarie might pretend to be jewish to save Ellen or atleast be with her during the time of the horror. Also I think Ellen is going to be very uncomfortable with their Uncle Henrik and the other people in town. I think she's going to miss her family very much.!!

I think Annemarie would be frightened after her last encounter with the Nazi soldiers. I agree with Cassidy on the fact that she would probably be wondering if Ellen would be caught. Before the night that the soldiers came to her house I think Annemarie thought the soldiers were pretty much harmless just walking around on street corners the sense she got that they were doing bad things is from the stories of them attacking other cities and how nervous her mother and father get about them.
