Well, the group will have to face a lot more fears, than just that of the water. They will have to face the dreadful soldiers that can arrest them in one second straight. There are so many soldiers stomping around with their huge and heavy guns. However, the group must proceed at a swift pace, silently. Next, they also have to worry about how much food and water they will need. The group will need lots of energy for the exhausting trip of a lifetime. Most of all, they need to be brave.

Other than Mrs.Rosen's fear of water, she will also have to face the fact that they have no chances in being caught. If they're caught, they have to face the dreadful soldiers and all their hard work will go to waste. She also might have to face the fact that she left many things behind. Lastly, she knows she has to be brave to set a good example, she needs to be brave so that they can make it out as quick as they can. There is no time for going back.

I do agree with Francine how she does have a fear about being caught and a fear of water but there is a way to be caught if there is a spy but there isn't not a far as I know but there could be and they will have to face the soldiers and probably worst but I think this book so far will go in the good direction butI do have my doubts sometimes in this book but I still don't understand why Ellen has to leave and also I don't understand how the mom fell.

  4. Other than Mrs. Rosen's fear of water, I think they have a fear of being caught by the soldiers. You never know if there's some type of spy lurking around the woods or by the dock. I'm pretty sure that since they have been stopped by the soldiers that they will be stopped again but then again they should be able to find some way to get by the soldiers. But as long as the soldiers don't find anything suspicious they will be alright.

I agree with Eric I think she's afraid of being caught and then shot. I would be afraid of the soldiers too. I think that she will face her fear to save her family.

Other than Mrs. Rosen's fear of water, she probably also has a fear of being spotted by the soldiers. She has to face her fear of the soldiers because the soldiers are everywhere and you can't be scared all of the time . You must face your fears and I think she will to save her family.

  7. Other than Mrs. Rosen's fear of water, she'll have to beware of the chances of being caught by the soldiers on the boat. If they get caught they could all get killed and they won't be safe. She will also have to face getting sniffed out by the dogs and getting caught and going to jail. Her life is on the line' she should be scared of her families safety. If she faces her fears she will be fine as well as her family. So, she needs to look at the positive side and not the negative. If she faces her fears they will be safe on the other island
